Built in 1904 for H.J. Larson, an early Starbuck merchant,
the house has been home to several prominent families over
the years.
The main floor received an update in 1920 including "arts
and crafts" mill work and electricity.
In 1950 the old front porch was replaced with a grand
veranda and 4 columns in the southern plantation style. This
"update" was made by the then current owner after his
honeymoon in the South where he fell in love with the
Southern Plantations.
The house sits on a triple corner lot with lots of room where
we plan on extending the current gardens. Not to be
upstaged by the house, the lot is flanked on the front and the
east side by towering 105 year old Norway Pines !

Guests are invited to enjoy the public areas at the Colonnade.
The Front Parlor is large and with the views from the large
front window or from the bow window seat it is a great area
to relax and chat.
The Library also has ample seating and views to gardens on
the other side of the house. Browse through one of our
books, watch some TV or take a DVD back to your room.
The furniture in the Dining Room fits right in with the Mission
style colonnades and built in buffet. This is an appropriate
setting for our hearty breakfasts.
House Mascot "Big Kitty"
Our two cats are not allowed in guest rooms at any time but do roam the public spaces of the Colonnade.
